The Mission of the SPIN (Supporting People In Need) Foundation is to expand and enhance educational and career opportunities by empowering children and adolescents whose lives have been complicated by school failure, involvement with the juvenile justice system, are at-risk for gang involvement and have limited opportunities because of social and financial difficulties.

Riley Robert Hawkins, MSW, received his undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Kentucky in 1980 and a Master’s in Social Work in 1995.

Patti Carter is a dedicated professional who has been supporting SPIN's efforts for over 4 years. Her continued support and dedication as a teacher and mentor which effects over a 100 kids a day in the classroom setting. Patti is a super amazing person with a huge heart!
